This week my husband Javi, Pumba (our 3-year-old Chocolate Labrador) and I had the opportunity to be a part of the Glamping Hub for Pets photo shoot!
For those of you who aren’t sure what glamping is, just think of it as glamourous camping. Glamping gives you an outdoor experience in a unique structure surrounded by nature (for example a yurt, treehouse, safari tent, etc.) but with all the comforts you would expect to find in a hotel. Sounds cool right? It gets even better because now you can bring your pet along on your next glamping adventure too!
So that brings us to the photo shoot; my handsome fur-baby Pumba, who some of you might know from my pet friendly travel posts, was asked along with Brooklyn, a lovely and much better behaved Boxer / Boston Terrier mix, to star in the photos!
We headed to the location of the shoot which was a glamping site called Dehesa de las Yeguas near Puerto Real, just a 35 minute drive from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, with a bag full of doggie treats and Pumba in tow – excited to see what awaited us!

The glamping site was so cool – there were three tented cabins equipped with kitchens, living rooms, Wi-Fi, outdoor shower, air conditioning, heating, etc. We got to enjoy the seclusion of the woods and being surrounded by nature without losing the comfort of home. I think I could definitely get used to glamping; I love the outdoors and all, but having a hot shower and a fridge full of wine at the end of the day sounds nice too!!

Pumba had a great time running around the campsite and playing with Brooklyn; I was really worried about how he would behave during the shoot (if you’ve met my dog you know his energy level is through the roof), but the treats motivated him to stay still long enough to snap a few pictures. We’ve already received a few of the photos and I think they look great – we can’t wait to see the rest!

And the best part? Javi, Pumba, and I will have the chance to try out glamping for ourselves very soon thanks to our partnership with Glamping Hub! We might head back to this same location with some friends or maybe we’ll try one of the other glamping sites in Andalusia, Spain.
